I have similar type …
I have similar type clock bought in 1975…Your hammers to gong bars needs adjusted.Just bend back hammers[don't worry they won't break!]until there is a gap of about 3mm between hammers and gong bars.Also make sure that the screw that hold gongs[underneath clock!]is tight…just one more thing.. make sure hammers are directly over gong bars.
